An Announcement from COHEAO on Conduent’s Decision to Exit the Campus Loan Servicing Market

Through discussions with a number of our members, we have learned that Conduent (formerly Xerox/ACS) has informed their clients of their intention to discontinue servicing campus-based loans including Perkins as well as institutional loan programs.

While we are still in the process of gathering information, we wanted to share with our membership that COHEAO is aware of the announcement and working with our membership to explore options and support the smooth transition of servicing.

Toward that end, we have been in contact with both University Accounting Service (UAS) and Heartland Payment Systems (ECSI), both members of COHEAO, and confirmed their commitment to the program.  Both servicers are in the process of working with existing Conduent clients to identify needs and options for the transitioning of servicing.
