Proposals are now being accepted to present at COHEAO’s 2014 mid-year conference in Denver CO.

Proposals should showcase solutions, initiate discussions or share effective strategies in campus administration. All submissions are for 60-minute sessions to be presented on Monday, August 4th or Tuesday, August 5th.

The deadline for submission of your 2014 COHEAO Mid-year Conference proposal is March 7, 2014. Proposals must be submitted via email to coheao@wpllc.net.

Guidelines for Submission:

  • All selected speakers are responsible for expenses incurred in conjunction with the COHEAO 2014 mid-year conference including registration, housing, and travel.
  • Proposals must be educational in nature and cannot contain a marketing/advertising aspect.
  • Submissions emphasizing a specific product will not be considered.
  • Completed proposals may be submitted up until Friday, March 7, 2014. Incomplete proposals may be deleted after March 4, 2014. Incomplete proposals include submissions that do not include speakers with full contact information.
  • Submission of a presentation does not guarantee participation in the program.
  • Do not list co-presenters without definite commitment that the co-presenter will be on the program. The co-presenter(s) must agree to all the terms and conditions for participation, including being responsible for expenses incurred in conjunction with the meeting.
  • Do not submit proposals unless each presenter is available to appear on any day of the mid-year conference.
  • Accepted proposals will not be assigned a specific speaking date and time until two weeks prior to the Mid-year Conference.
  • Acceptance notifications will be made in April 2014.
  • All speakers/co-presenters associated with a session must register for the meeting and are responsible for the cost of their registration.
  • Speakers must complete an acceptance form in order to be confirmed for a session. All speakers of selected sessions will receive an official confirmation letter.
  • Proposal submission topics cannot be changed after the review and selection process unless approved by COHEAO.
  • COHEAO reserves the right to revise presentation titles, or edit the session description of selected presentations for COHEAO promotional and program publications.

Proposal Submission Suggestions:

  • Proposals should be based on quality, relevance, focus and practical application.
  • Proposal summary should be a brief one-paragraph summary of the presentation as it would appear in the conference program guide. Please limit the summary to 1000 characters.
  • Acronyms should be spelled out.
  • Sessions should have 45 minutes of content prior to Q&A
  • Include as much detail as possible about the presentation in your description.
  • Include three (3) audience takeaways in your description.
  • Proposals will be reviewed by COHEAO members from a variety of institutions as well as Washington Partners staff. Content submitted for this program may also be considered for COHEAO Webinars.

COHEAO hosts two conferences each year on campus-based loans and higher education finance. Members receive a significant discount at these events, which feature informative programs, networking opportunities, and discussions with Members of Congress, key officials from the Department of Education, and other leaders in student lending and financial aid.
