Commercial Members Committee
The COHEAO Commercial Members Committee advocates for COHEAO on both legislative and regulatory issues and is instrumental in coordinating and supporting grassroots initiatives.
The Committee’s focal points include:
- advocacy for the orderly wind-down of the Federal Perkins Loan Program,
- supporting institutions with the management of their loan and receivables portfolios,
- monitoring the development and activities within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB),
- working on Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) reform.
- monitoring State collection and servicing requirements/regulations.
Our role is to assess the needs and concerns of all COHEAO members and work with the COHEAO Board to identify future initiatives. This is done through the collaborative development of best practices within our industry and maintaining high business standards.
The Commercial Members Committee is chaired by Chris Stompanato. For more information, or to join, please contact Chris.
